Distances

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Words that soak into your ears

are whispered, not yelled. The best sermons are

lived, not preached.

Farm Wisdom

Be grateful for luck. Pay

the thunder no mind -

listen to the birds. And

don't hate nobody.

    Eubie Blake

Green anole is a tree-dwelling species
of anole lizard native to the southeastern
United States and introduced
to islands in the Pacific
and Caribbean.

If you feel lost, disappointed,

hesitant, or weak,

return to yourself, to

who you are, here and now

and when you get there,

you will discover yourself, like

a lotus flower in full bloom,

even in a muddy pond,

beautiful and strong.

   Masaru Emoto

I've never SEEN a

Bunny in Waikiki!

Still Haven't!

Learning to distance yourself

from all the negativity is

one of the greatest lessons

to achieve inner peace.

The biggest mistake

we make

 in trying to meditate,

is in

"Trying."

You don't have to try,

you just have to:

Sit Still,

Close your eyes,

Breathe,

Focus on your Breathing.

Don't follow thoughts

(they rarely stop)

notice them

let them arise

and pass on by.

Re- focus on your breathing.

Repeat

until the gong sounds.

Below is a real nice

FREE timer gong

for YOU to use.

Don't expect magic,

enlightenment,

or emptiness.

Just make time to

sit or lie comfortably

every day.

Then

Magic

Enlightenment

and an empty lightness

will surprise You

when they are

Nothing

like you imagined,

and they begin to

accompany you

daily!

When you make a meal

you use tools

and ingredients

in your kitchen.

Then

you wipe the table,

and put stuff away.

When you work on your

computer,

perhaps baking a

blog post,

 visiting bloggy friends,

checking your email,

and finding a recipe for dinner,

there is disorder afterwards

on your hard drive-

things that need to be put away,

and "crumbs"

to wipe up.

Inevitably, registry errors,

file fragments,

cookies,

and other debris

collect on your hard drive.

and they DO

 slow you down!

 I download updates

to my anti-virus / malware,

programs, and run scans

daily.

But I do something else

to clean up all those 'crumbs'

and do preventive maintenance

every day.

Meet my friend

 GLARY.

"One Click Maintenance"

This is a free utility for personal use.

If you purchase the "Pro" version

(as I eventually did)

there are even more tools

to optimize, and safeguard

your computer.

But the is NO pressure to buy-

And this was an unsolicited

and unpaid recommendation.

I happily

used GLARY Free for YEARS

and just wanted my friends

to know about it.

You can download it

via the link below.
