 Dragon has many helpers.

leave the stage in time- 

The REAL Star is coming!

 The Daring Young Lion -

 Leaping from pole

 to pole!

 Not just thrilling

but blessing

the crowd

 True Athletes -

 After-Image Remains

Merging with New Years Past,

Each one of us.

There is:

 Unknown Damage,

Unacknowledged Damage,

 UNDERSTOOD Damage.

Some cannot see

their own wounded places;

Unknown to themselves

they fester

 into more damage-

to themselves

and to others.

Some of us, and I am one,

have run from our scars.

Thinking we needed to be special,

Perfect,
 to be worthy

we run from our
 Unacknowledged. 

To look, to accept, to just

BE

 with our damaged selves

allows ever-polite 
Compassion

to arise.

Emptying ourselves

of excuses

has welcomed her.
