Hollywood in Waikiki

Aloha!

Waikiki as we think of her.

"The tops of the trees

are but the roots

of the sky."
cloudia

Last night the red carpet was rolled onto Waikiki Beach

(please excuse photo "quality.")

The stars of the NEW Hawaii-50 were all there

Grace Park, and adopted local guy, Daniel Dae Kim

(here for years filming LOST)

thrilled the crowd.

The premier episode was shown to thousands of locals and visitors

right on the beach.

Word is GOOD!

Those in North America can tune in NEXT MONDAY!

Ooooooh, Cloudia --- Was that you in the big natural hat? You, your boat, or Pirate Kitty could be on the show, eh? DrumMajor

I loved the old Hawaii Five-O as a kid; I will be checking this one out soon!! Thanks for sharing. We've all been busy; no worries. Love the quote about the trees being the roots of the sky. Beautiful!

Remake

'A "reboot" of Hawaii Five-O will begin showing in the fall of 2010 (on CBS in the USA). It will star Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett), Scott Caan (Danny Williams), Daniel Dae Kim (Chin Ho Kelly) and Grace Park (Kono Kalakua).'

From the ads, anyway, it strikes me as vastly different than the original (68-80). The original series struck me as a series of one hours 'films'.

I understand busy absence. So cool that you could be part of the airing of the new Five O.

I have been out of the web for one week. I am very tired because I went to an exhibition about my husband's work four days.

Cloudia, I used to love Hawaii Five-O. I may watch this one especially if it shows a lot of Hawaii.

Don't worry about responding to commnts. It's more important that you take care of yourself.
