How We Change the World

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Person to person,
moment to moment,
as we love, we
change the world.
Samahria Lyte Kaufman

Small talk feels
too small,
-big talk
too enormous.
     Anna Quindlen

Not too little,
not too much.
Just enough
Swedish proverb

Too Much?

At the best times,
nothing needs
to be said
with words.

Cleanliness is a mindset
– a positive habit
that keeps the body,
mind, and environment
happy, healthy,
simple, neat,
and delightful. Amit Ray

There is never enough
time to do everything,
but there is always
enough time to do the
most important thing.

Blessed. Best.

I look to the sea
that sailors live upon
sleeping on her bosom
all night long.

I Wonder at
Their Boundless Delights.
But as for me?

Quiet & Still.
Tranquil striated slopes
on the iconic hill
where temples and signals
betokened ancient forces.
Later overlooked the

But these main 8

Living out here has
just meant happiness.
Sometimes I think
I'm half-mad

Make Courtesy Awesome Again

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Courtesy should be
a continuous action,
not something to be
turned on and off
like a faucet.

These wild chickens have laid their egg atop a utility box!
Courtesies of a small
and trivial character
are the ones which
strike deepest in the
grateful and
appreciating heart.
  Henry Clay

I often painted
fragments of things
because it seemed to
make my statement
as well as or better
than the whole could.....
When you take a
flower in your hand
and really look at it,
it’s your world
for the moment.
I want to give that
world to someone else....

...Most people in the city
rush around so,
they have no time
to look at a flower.
I want them
to see it
whether they
want to or not.
     Georgia O'Keeffe

When music and courtesy
are better understood
and appreciated,
there will be no war.

I wish people
were all trees...
I think I could
enjoy them then.

Another Basket

A L O H A From Honolulu!
Better to illuminate
than merely to shine
Thomas Aquinas

Maturity is peacefully
disagreeing without
thinking the other person
is terrible or believing all
of their other views must
be wrong too...

...processing different
perspectives without
ego or combativeness
is a real superpower.
Yung Pueblo

You are no bigger
than the things
that annoy you.
           Jerry Bundsen

Ego loves to condemn;
peace affirms itself
without judgment.

Another Basket of Gifts:
Another Day!

Sometimes the darkest
challenges, the
most difficult lessons,
hold the greatest
gems of light.

After The Storm, Rainbow Cake

A L O H A From Honolulu!

After the rain, the
sun will reappear.

There is life.

After the pain, the
joy will still be here.
    Walt Disney

After a day of cloud
and wind and rain
Sometimes the setting
sun breaks out again,
And touching all the
darksome woods with light,
Smiles on the fields
until they laugh and sing,
Then like a ruby
from the horizon's ring,
Drops down into
the night
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Only rainbows after rain ....
The sun will always
come again.
   Andy Grammer

There, about a dozen times
during the day, the wind
drives over the sky
the swollen clouds,
which water the earth
copiously, after which
the sun shines brightly,
as if freshly bathed,
and floods with a
golden luster the rocks,
the river, the trees,
and the entire jungle.
   Henryk Sienkiewicz

Growing up, I heard
a lot about strength.
My dad -
a Holocaust survivor -
embodied it, though he
would never say that
about himself.
Not only did he survive
one of the most horrific
events in history, but
he never lost hope
along the way,
crediting acts
of kindness with
keeping him alive.
   Daniel Lubetzky

 Love comforeth like
sunshine after rain,
Love's gentle spring
doth always
fresh remain;

 My soul was like a
summer evening,
after a heavy fall of rain,
when the drops are yet
glistening on the trees
in the last rays of
the down-going sun...
 George MacDonald

March 26:
Hawaii has dropped the
Mask Mandate,
[last US State to do so]
as well as pre-travel
covid testing for visitors.

Today felt different.
Hope breathed.
After tense months,
people seem relaxed.
Foreign languages are
heard once more
in Waikiki.

My mask will continue
to travel with me,
and it will be some time
before I dine publicly indoors.

Slow & Steady.
Celebrate EVERY win!

Love You,
Cloudia & Pixie
