One Soul In The Whole

A  L  O  H  A !
"Any path is only a path,
and there is no affront,
to oneself or to others,
in dropping it if that is
what your heart tells you."
                Carlos Castaneda

"The very nature of kindness
Is to spread.
If you are kind to others,
Today they will be kind to you,
And tomorrow to somebody else."
                Sri Chinmoy

"One soul in the whole
creation you do know:
and it is the only one
whose fate is placed
in your hands”

"No one is ever more
him/herself than when
they really laugh.
Their defenses are down.
It's very Zen-like,
that moment. They
are completely open,
completely themselves
when that message
hits the brain and
the laugh begins. That's
when new ideas can
be implanted. If a
new idea slips in at
that moment, it has
a chance to grow.”

A little understanding
changes what we see.

Banana is a big grass,
not a tree.

When the banana bunches are full.
The plant completes it's cycle.
You cut the banana bunch,
And trample it to nurture the new growth.
Only the root remains-
from which sprout new
banana "trees."

This is a semi-public space
in Waikiki frequented by the
homeless. This image makes
me think that someone
has Free Food
from the land -
and to share!

the urgent need to

wander and observe, and

my camera is my passport.”

"There are mystically in our faces
certain characters
which carry in them
the motto of our souls,
wherein he that

but rather a person with
a certain set of attitudes."

Sea gulls and red wing blackbirds
I like how the fog ensconces
Lifting later to reveal sunny skies

Who I am, even here in Northern California
