Two Wheels BETTER than Four

A    L    O    H    A  !
" To be free
is not merely
to cast off one's
chains,
 but to live
in a way that
respects and enhances
 the freedom
of others. "

 Mandella

" If
you make friends
 with yourself
you will never
be alone. "

 Maxwell Maltz

" I am so glad that
you are here. . .
It helps me realize
how beautiful
my world is. "

Goethe

=^..^=

 One drives a car.
One rides a motorcycle;
Like a horse.

One is inside a car;
One rides upon
 a motorcycle.

Drivers turn a wheel.
Riders lean
& wheel
into turns
like a hawk, or a surfer.

On two wheels we enjoy
mastery,
we are part of
nature,
 and of the
Flow,
smells,
warmth,
cool.
Rain.
Sun.

On two wheels
we truly pray,
 and forget ourselves
for a time;

While
completely present,
absorbed,
exultant.

On motorcycles,
I am soon happy
 and singing.

I agree with
Marcus T. Cicero:
  " Rashness belongs
to youth;
prudence to old age. "

I am in
the sweet-spot
savoring both,
Happy to have
many air miles,
many experiences
and memories
along the road
 I've ridden.

You notice things on a bike

" There are old pilots,
and bold pilots,
 but no old
AND bold pilots. "

Aviation Maxim

I've been a licensed
Motorcyclist
44 Years.

Cars came later.

They are VERY different:
If you take up riding,
or have been garaged
all winter,
remember
the eyes
in the back of your
head.

Remember
that you are
invisible
and ultimately
responsible
for your own safety.

Turn the odds
in your favor,
stay out of the grease patch
in the middle of the lane
(esp at red lights)

Ride at your own pace
as I do.

Always look beyond
the bumper in front.
