A   L   O   H   A  !
You must be the change
you wish to see in the world.
          Mahatma Gandhi

Never miss an opportunity
to make others happy, even
if you have to leave them alone
in order to do it.

A bowl belongs to
whoever needs it.
    Native American saying

Well! We're moving right along through this!
Have you noticed that time is still
going as it always has?
Afternoon follows morning, and
golden hour is still a good time
for a pause and a drink.
The dark angel is passing over,
passing AWAY!

So here's to you, to us!
That seems to be an emerging theme.
And despite the real fear of
losing loved ones, perhaps
because of it, we are more
aware of our connections.

Suddenly, a universal basic income
does not seem like a wild idea.
We see how 90% of us live
too close to need.

A nimble, smart, effective
national government is obviously
worth cherishing and maintaining.
As are amicable allies!

Everyday people,
just doing their job, are
highlighted in their value.

The things we fought over
seem puny and passe.

For those of you who follow
US politics, I wish to mention
that after 9-11, President Bush
had approval ratings north of 90%.
People rally around the leader in unity
at such times.

This president is uniquely immune
to unity, or good sense it appears.

His ratings are thus moored where they've
always been. Striking! And remember,
there are those Americans who
enjoy the discomfort of "elites"
and so enjoy supporting the prez in
polls. But will many who voted for
him think better of it this time
in the privacy of the voting booth,
the solitude of their heart?

He won by a razor edge last time.
It does not look good for a second term.

Pollution is way down
with wildlife reemerging!

Conventional Politics
does NOT live at
Comfort Spiral.
We are discussing
the MACRO view
of which the unfitness
of our president is a given.

What are YOUR hopeful
visions of the emerging world?

What do you think?

How We're Doing

A    L    O    H    A  !
Don't let your worries
get the best of you;
remember, Moses started out
as a basket case.

Some Laws of Cat Physics

Law of Cat Embarrassment
A cat's irritation rises in direct proportion to her embarrassment
times the amount of human laughter.

Law of Cat Composition
A cat is composed of Matter + Anti-Matter + It Doesn't Matter.

Law of Selective Listening
Although a cat can hear a can of tuna being opened a mile away, she
can't hear a simple command three feet away.

Law of Cat Obedience
As yet undiscovered

“There is only one way to happiness
and that is to cease worrying
about things which are beyond
the power of our will.”

"Just the best I can do right now"
is heroic a this time.

We are ALL cycling through emotions
as we adjust and carry on.
Believe me: I do too.

A few tears, allowing some fears
and cycling back through
Hope to resignation.
And then Back around.

Don't Forget:
This Will End!
But be 'odd' with me,
and enjoy this irreplaceable day.

It will never come again.

Reach out to your friends.
Enjoy this time we've been given
for reflection, neglected tasks,
and pure enjoyment.

It's OK to be happy!

In fact, that's something
the whole world needs to feel.
Add your good vibes
to the pile!

Not since 1917
has the world faced such days.
We are doing GREAT!

We Know Their Presence

A   L   O   H   A  !
Oahu from the air. That is Diamond Head.
By my friend Tess B. Abellaneda

We know that in tough times,
cynicism is just
another way to give up,
and in the military,
we consider cynicism or
giving up simply as
forms of cowardice.
    Jim Mattis

They say that orbs in a photo are angels.

When angels visit us,
we do not hear the rustle of wings,
nor feel the feathery touch
of the breast of a dove;
but we know their presence
by the love they create
in our hearts.
           Mary Baker Eddy

A Brazilian Cardinal and two doves

I was able to survive everything
that I've been through
- all of the tough times -
and I'm still at the top of my game.
            Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Never give up.
There are always tough times,
regardless of what you do
in anything in life.
Be able to push through
those times and maintain
your ultimate goal.

I want people who go through tough times,
hard times, or didn't have everything right
-things didn't fall in their lap or go in their favor-
to know that they can still achieve their dream
and go to the highest of the highs.

Lean On Me

A    L    O    H    A  !
"What is home? My favorite definition
is 'a safe place,' a place where
one is free from attack,
a place where one experiences
secure relationships
and affirmation. -

 -  It's a place where people share
and understand each other.
Its relationships are nurturing. -

-The people in it do not need to be perfect;
instead, they need to be honest, loving,
supportive, recognizing a common humanity
that makes all of us vulnerable.

Was it you or I who stumbled first?
It does not matter. The one of us
who finds the strength to get up first,
must help the other.
