Awakening

A L O H A From Honolulu!

The ground was hard
And skies were gray,
Through lingering storms
Despair held sway.

But hope the seed
Safe within
Begins to sprout
Awakened again! -

- Tiny green shoots
Fresh and bright,
A promise revealed
At dawn's first light.

Shadows linger
Fainter and fewer
Lucky hints murmur
richer and truer. -

- Solutions will bloom
And a helping hand,
Goodness returning
Across our land.
