EARTH
" It suddenly struck me
that that tiny pea, pretty and blue,
was the Earth.
I put up my thumb
and shut one eye,
and my thumb blotted out
the planet Earth.
I didn't feel like a giant.
I felt very, very small. "
Neil Armstrong

that you shed your attachment
to making an impact,
you will make the exact impact
that matters most.
Give yourself

That song by Melanie
brought back a lot of emotion.
It surprised me how much.
Back then mimeographed flyers
were the only internet we knew,
and buttons you wore
said things like
"Make Love Not War"
and "Impeach Nixon."
The adult world
seemed rather harsh,
always trying
to teach us one
cold lesson or another.
But we were looking
for beautiful people,
whose faces were not angry
the minute they saw us.
We were looking for
a beautiful, meaningful
way to live.
I write my posts
every day,
sending them out,
like a rose petal
down on a super highway-
But a miracle happens:
Beautiful people find ME!
That's you.
That is us.
And we are
ALL TOGETHER.
Coo coo kachoo!
This really touches me.
Every Day.
Thank YOU.
warmly, cloudia

How awe inspiring must that have been?
Amazing post!!
Yeah, I'm pretty tired of learning life's lessons.
Lovely rosy sky and water. Music is amazing: it can trip one into past pleasantries SO profoundly. Yep, "surprise!" As we get older the memories can actually be stronger! What a ride! Even, painfully pleasant? DrumMajor
you second photo...just remarkable beauty, cloudia!
That was such a beautiful song! She had a young, appealing voice. I'll YouTube her for others.
Really thoughtful Neal Armstrong quote.
I felt like Armstrong many years ago, too. I often think that our human hubris leads to think like giants and yet, we are minute when compared to the magnitude of our universe.
Greetings from London.
Such wonderful photographs! Hawaii must be a feast for the eyes.
MT is gray right now.
Beautiful People, THANK YOU. ♥
Aloha aloha !!!how are you!
beautiful quotes as always!
big hugs from Norway
I love that Neil Armstrong quote - I had not heard it before. A friend told me that she had been looking at the full moon here the other night and was suddenly awestruck when she realised that man had walked there.
Another collection of Monday gems. Thank you!
You are most definitely a beautiful person. With stunning photos and quotes and a heart bigger than the sky, the seas, the ocean...
I always love your photos but your quotes are just that bit different, always good.
Merle.........
great quotes
Beautiful, beautiful - I am especially thrilled by that Armstrong quote. Thank you, Cloudia!
I am stunned at the pic of reflections, it is beautiful!
Lovely thoughts from you as always. Thank you so much for that.
Wonderful shots and quotes.
Gosh - THANKS!
EACH of YOU <3
