STARS: You & Me

A L O H A !

Everybody Is A Star by Sly And The Family Stone on Grooveshark

" All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school-boy,
with his satchel. . ."
"JAQUES "

Shakespeare
As You Like It, 1600

"Ay," said the Captain, reverentially;
"it's a almighty element.
There's wonders in the deep,
my pretty. "

    Charles Dickens

It's hard to remember
back to this state of mind,
but I used to wake up
with a jolt
and wonder:
' WHAT is going wrong
today!?! '

EVERYTHING seemed a burden,
worried me,
and added to my general
hopelessness.

Strangely, it was hanging around with
bikers,
specifically my friend Rat,
that hipped me to the fact
that maintenance is part of
life - not an emergency-
and CERTAINLY NOT
a judgement from on High

Hanging around in the garage,
having good greasy fun
(some of it legal and printable)
changing my own oil,
and feeling tools in my hand-
well it was pretty exotic stuff
to this child of a family that
straight out bickered
at every little thing
that came up.

A flat tire,
or needed oil change
is NOT somebodies
fault!

Who knew?

So this week,
A few little, em,
life-problems
have popped up.

Gosh, I'm SO over
panicking!

Long story short,
I kept my cool,
paused BEFORE acting,
and SHOOTS, if the scary problems
didn't just get worked out beautifully!

So THAT's what it means:

A coward dies a thousand deaths
 (every day!)
The brave die only once.

It seems to me now,
that prevention, maintenance,
nagging repetitive tasks,
unexpected complications,
unforeseen problems,
are all merely the Plot Points
and Minor Characters
in OUR movie/film.

WE are the stars!

It is HOW we play the role of
our-self,
dealing with
these Minor Characters,
all this "Stage Business"
of life,
that determines if the film
is a comedy, tragedy,
or farce;

Whether it turns out to be
up lifting,
or troubling.

Because
we are not just the protagonist,
we are TRUE Auteur's:
We are each the Director,
as we are Lead Star
too !

So I'm done
letting: minor characters,
or plot-points,
steal my
close-ups.

Aloha,
pleased to meet you!
I'm Cloudia,
problem solver,
true Auteur,
S T A R !

Thank you SO much
for coming to my theater today;
Step up out of the audience,
onto the "Comments" stage
and tell us something about
YOU,
about YOUr week

                                      WARMLY, cloudia

The Gray Ghost rolled the odometer and is now 300,004 miles old and running as well as Sea Biscuit ever did. Must be that low octane, high fiber diet. Now if her fenders stay on a while longer and they don't quit making duct tape she may make it to the end of the moving picture show.

Family stuff certainly sticks with you - I am glad to hear that you are working it out and that things turned out well.

A big round of applause for director Cloudia!

Don't you just hate it when family members bicker over every little thing? What happened to peace and harmony? Good that you are away from the bickering, Cloudia.

I'm happy you got your stage back, I too hate when that happens. We forget how we're the director... ha ha and this is our production! As for my stage this week pretty much the usual oil changes here, except TUESDAY! It was like a lost summer or early fall gift of weather-happy-pursuit-wise. So my son and his little girl went in search of the little fairy house, or elf house at Lake Harriet..(He was there)in spirit... and not closed up and off somewhere in the east until spring! ... and what a glorious stage that was...everyone brought extras out for a walk....2 wheeled ones...and happily the barking ones...we spotted a man on a bike enclosed in well, fiberglass I think...seriously, (no my camera was not on in time!)Okay enough about my week.... enjoy your new parts this week! Aloha and well wishes to you Cloudia!
