Honolulu Ramble

Beep Beep!

Aloha!

for Daryl

Let's take an aimless cruise
around Honolulu Town...

What the?

"A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful,

full of wonder and excitement. "

~Rachel Carson

Oh cool, it's a shiny rack.

"An idea, to be suggestive,

must come to the individual with the force of revelation."

William James

Aw, lovers in the sunset.
That's not a cliche` at all.

“Sensual pleasures have the fleeting brilliance of a comet;

a happy marriage has the tranquility of a lovely sunset.”

Ann Landers

Who is this? (Heh Heh)

"And remember, no matter where you go,

there you are."

~Confucius

Thanks for the relaxing ramble before a hard day of Korean pop culture, Buddhist basics, and work, work, work!

As I go on to your blog page, I am always impressed by that big picture of the ocean. I love it.

I love the pictures in this post too, especially the one of you. How great that you are so playful and still view the world with the eyes of a child. Even greater is the fact that you share your views!

Do you know that those shiny racks corrode in Hawaii? We bought the more expensive set at City Mill because we wanted it to be a certain size. Doggone it! The chrome is flaking off! So annoying!

Sigh......ah well... the price to pay for living in Paradise.

Yes, even "stainless" steel corrodes in Hawaii...

we swap the illusion of permanence

for beauty in THIS moment.

Thanks SO much for YOUR visit.

yes, I am here.

Cloudia, I had your email, was it meant for me?

I was reading your post yesterday about water in the engine compartment and for some reason today what I have running through my head today is .... "The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat: they took some honey, and plenty of money wrapped up in a five-pound note...."

I love it as much as I love being here. I feel I have a home in Hawaii--all day every day. God bless, Cloudia.

Great shots - and that last quote is so very wise!

I must have left where I was and went somewhere else because I found myself not there but here.

Lovers ought to prefer the sunrise, no?
