Friend Change

A L O H A!

Welcome Back To Virtual Honolulu

"Some people see things as they are and ask
Some people dream of things that never were and ask why not?
Some people have to go to work
and don't have time for all that."

George Carlin

" The only way to let your dreams come true
is to wake up. "

Paul Valery

“Still round the corner there may wait,

A new road or a secret gate.”

J.R.R. Tolkien

If change is not your friend,
Life itself
will seem your enemy.

Enjoy your day;
It will never come

       fondly, cloudia

Hi Cloudia, you really do pick the best quotes and sayings, for instance how nice will it be tomorrow to look around the corner and find a new road or a secret gate. Exciting!!

Hate to say it but I tried to volunteer once at a local elementary school to mentor kids but just as soon as I got into the grove I was moved to night shift making it impossible. So what Carlin said rings true for me.

The point about change is well taken, though I kind of wish it wasn't so true.

Embrace change you never know what new adventures it will bring. As a fan of J.R.R. Tolkein his quote gets my vote :-).

Elephant's Child said...

I'm with Windsmoke. Both for the adventures that Tolkein's quote promises and for love of the man himself. Thanks.

George Carlin always had an interesting take on life. Yes, humorous, but often he hit the mark.

It is a pleasure yet even at this advanced age to find something to fight for! Every day is a good day for war.
