My Studio

A L O H A !

Pua Hone by The Brothers Cazimero on Grooveshark

I have the creativity of a magpie

many things catch my eye,
I'm forever clipping something,
making notes on the move,
or finding:
objects, ideas,
cast-offs,
stones.

This is why I long existed
in a "disorderly" nest of cool stuff.

But I have kept our new apartment
rather "Hotel Like."
The spaciousness
(especially after living in the confines of a boat)
is a pure pleasure.
Freshly painted walls have no nails, hooks,
or hanging art.
(Just look at how my words
"hang out"
sprawling themselves
about
in unlimited
cyberspace.

Instead of  etagere
crammed with oddities,
and toys,
one, or two jade pieces
overlook the new regime
of serenity
unobtrusively.
I think they like the space too.

So where are my piles of clippings,
blog ideas, crazy schemes, found objects?

Have I changed my style?
Not at ALL!

You should see my photo files!

My Blogger Dashboard
of half-made posts!

The files in files
on my "desktop!"

Isn't the web a wonderful place?
Where a slob-artist can keep
the requisite
"heap' O materials.

Where an anti-social type
can hold forth on poetry
or political screeds
and find like-minded
associates.

Thank YOU
so much for being a part of it!

                                      Warmly, cloudia

In that last paragraph I thought for a minute I read "like minded assholes" then saw it was "associates." Then I realized it wasn't me you were referring to sista' hahahahahaaha

Love the look the wee masked marauder is giving his sister. :)

sounds all normal to me. I give you a year on land and stuff will be so crammed up that you'll won't be able to shut the front door.

Claudia, living in cramped quarters at one time, does let you appreciate space...it gets worse (better in my eyes) as you age!...:)JP

You're welcome!

Anti-social type? Really?

Ha - I'll always be a bit of a slob. I think the confines of the boat trained you to be neater than you think.

I'm just loving how you're loving your new space Cloudia! Your first image is just how I think of you up there in your 'eerie' in the sky!! I agree that it does make you feel a lot 'lighter' in spirit and reality if you can somehow declutter your environment, it's just not always easy to let some things go!

Amazing pictures!!! I love the plant on your lanai.

Absolutely, although I must confess to needing to be a bit more 'hands on' with my stuff.

Well, my house is not "hotel like", (I've live here almost 12 years), but I can sure relate to you about cyber clutter.

Keep doing what you do. It works.

That first image is just stunning and looks almost ethereal. At first I thought it was a plant cutting sitting in a little pyramid-shaped vase, balancing precariously on a pole. When my brain decided that didn't make sense, I realized it was a little pouch hanging from the plant. So now, I wonder what it is and why it's on the plant?

New spaces to explore our physical well-being, to encourage our exploration of selves. Finding the comfortableness of our lives.

A beautiful space, indeed.

I'm trying hard to keep our house clutter free, but it's an ongoing battle.

Have a happy, happy weekend, Cloudia!

anti-social and creativeness seem to fall into the same category a lot. A woman after my own heart....and lived on a boat!! Your view from your place is totally awesome! =)

The mom with the two children and each in his/her own little world but clearly together--that is what your art is about. These are fun.

Well it may be many things that catch your eye, but they are all little gems so far. Keep clicking!
