I may be a clown
but I'm one of those
that pops up again
after being punched.

Resilient buoyancy
has become my hard-won
'normal.'

Unspoken kindness
is my contribution
to the weather we all
share,
though I'm never sure
that it really
contributes
significantly.

But this week I had some
or 'the blues'
or whatever you call them
breaking up my emotional furniture.

It was all I could do
to be 'normal' among others;
I felt
contagious
and wished for quarantine.

Today I realized
that the mood we carry
really is no small thing.

It has an effect,
hundreds of times
a day.

I will appreciate my amity
when it is mine to share.

Living kind
is the best revenge.

The mood we carry is a very important thing - I hope your blues/mean reds is dispersed by nice orangey sunshine yellow, dear Cloudia! I'm sending across some contagious Giraffitude!

It sure can be difficult to stop carrying such a mood. Eventually something helps it to dissipate. I hope that's soon for your blue mood. Love the little texty owl. :)

I do agree...and that kindness must begin toward one's self...then it carries on to everything you do and everyone you meet. Remembering that those clouds come with density but pass with lightness...forgiving ourselves for thoughts that are only thoughts, feelings that are only feelings...that is compassion...that is faith in one's own ability to find center again...popping up like a clown knocked down.

I agree, Cloudia, kindness is essential from every point of view.
Have a nice Thursday!

I let things stay sometimes , but most of the time I laugh at my own folly. Who cares if you are blue more than yourself.

That's me the clown that gets punched and pops right back up again and then lives in kind as revenge. Think happy thoughts then your blue/red moods will disappear.

Dear Cloudia,

in my opinion, this is one of the very best entries you've ever made.

Living kind is pretty tough on me. I may tend to just live away

Thats along the same lines as: "Life my suck but the alternative is far worse."

Today I realizedthat the mood we carryreally is no small thing.

The Great Buffett oftens says you take the weather with you. It took me a while to understand that.

Living kind is the best revenge.

Yes, it really PO's those with bad attitudes.

"She lived kind" would be a wonderful epitaph. You're right, our moods affect others many times a day. Thank you for being a bright spark in mine.

Heaping hot coals on their heads and killing them softly with your Song!!

Sorry about the Blues--I too shoulda took the red pill yesterday and today, but it will pass quickly with me. I am really fortunate in that even with the Blues, if you start looking for the good--the bads always HAVE to flee!

It's tougher sometimes--but Iron Sharpens Iron, and the Blues make the Gold Glitter more brightly!

BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT!
