This little one was photographing the adults.
I went for my camera but missed that shot.Here they admire her capture.

Wise words as ever Cloudia.
Absolutely right, as well as other birds too, I've been to the White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle!
You have such rich photos every day - I love the one of the little girl and the couple.
Oh wise one, how I love your posts! Aloha my dear friend. I always leave with a smile.
I think the best thing to do is see if we can get certificates that verify sanity up until a certain date and then just not worry about it until the expire. Then who cares, even if a psychiatrist calls us crazy he'll just look foolish.
Hello Cloudia..coming by to visit u..
All wise words Cloudia. x
I must say that I am only 1/2 in agreement with reputable Mr. Karl Menninger...even if that will forever bar me from becoming visiting faculty member at the relocated Menninger Clinic from the Baylor School of Medicine: I personally think that his adage holds general water only in regards to (obviously unwanted) chronic traumatic experiences to which some children may be subject to, and if we believe otherwise we risk falling into the trap of the "blaming the parents" concept.
I am too lazy to explain further what I actually meant in that psycho-babble. All I can say: if anyone here, G-d forbid, ever finds themselves needing a child psychologist or psychiatrist, the screening question is: "what is your opinion of Mr. Bruno Bettelheim ?"
a) if they are under 55 years old and don't know who he was...there's a 75 % chance they might be competent;
b) if they are over 55 y/o and don't know who he was...there's a 65 % chance they may be getting early Alzheimer's;
c) if they say he had good parts and bad parts, "just like everyone else": there's a 55 % chance they will be OK, but make sure you double check their license and certification are current; an easy way to do that would be to ask them to give you the title of one of his books that they liked; if it contains the word "fairytale", the 55 % stands;
d) if they say they adored him: stop counting your chances, just RUN;
e) if they say they hate his guts, there's an 85 % chance you've struck gold: that particular psychiatrist or psychologist will actually be an advocate for you and your child; 25 % allows for literally crazy psychiatrists or psychologists out there; one way to weed them out is to verify their sense of humor, by telling them a totally unsuitable politically INcorrect joke, like a blonde joke if they're a woman, or a political joke if they're a man; if you don't feel like telling jokes, just watch their face when they say they hated Bettelheim...if they sigh and also roll their eyes while saying it, they're OK.
P.S. Cloudia...you did it again ! You make me think and write here stuff I would habitually never dare to say in public ! And I am totally sober right now ! You must have some hidden gene of either an inspiring muse, or a police detective/interrogator...making me spill over all these "secrets" !
yes, you have Tom!
