Routine Appointment
Waiting for the physician
in that little room
(without a window)
there is too much
Time
perhaps a second,
maybe 5 more minutes,
to Think.
Standing before the mirror
washing hands below,
I looked-
DEEPLY looked
at the face I really have
today.
One clear truth
formed in my mind,
a Truth I believe
with all my heart:
It's the light in here,
I don't look

Ha, the last one gave me a good laugh. The first a thought to put into practice, I think.
One beautiful thing about this face is I need no mirrors. With this beard I have nothing but hair to look deeply into.
