Good Vs Evil

"The limits of my language
are the limits
of my world”

Ludwig Wittgenstein

"Nothing is Good or Bad;
But thinking
makes it so."

" To know one's self
is wisdom,
but to know one's
is genius."

Minna Antrim

A crucial Life Skill today is:
Tolerance for Ambiguity.

Remember when there was
A Right Way
to do things?

Greater cultural awareness;
and using computers,
has brought us into a reality
where different ways
can accomplish a task.

Awareness and thinking
are now as important
(to ourselves, our families,
our societies)
as habit.

I believe that it is important
to avoid Good v Bad thinking,
lest I become one of those
who detect evil everywhere
except their own conflicts
and subconscious biases.

Once you deny a person
their innate complex humanity,
to say nothing of a precious
individual soul,
somebody is going to
get hurt.

Lovely to see YOU again
my Friend!

I generally have a pretty high tolerance for ambiguity. I have less tolerance for the meanness that I see among so many these days.

Pretty photos and wise quotes again. Following the Golden Rule is what I try to live by. I met a young man yesterday in day to day passing, whose kindness and good manners radiated from him. I thought to myself, "In you dear, there is hope for the world yet."

Ah yes, if we all lived by these very quotes what a world it would be. Aloha dear friend, thanks for bringing such beauty and meaning to our days, Karen

That first pic is stunning. So true that our judgements of good/bad, right/wrong, get us farther from truth and sometimes to disregard our humanity. Lovely post.

Love, love, love that moth. I am sure the designers of peisley material were trying to capture some of its glory.
Evil for me is cruelty - physical, emotional, mental. But there is a LOT more good in the world.

That top photo is exceptional. Love your thoughts, as ever. Well said.

A good idea. Avoid the presumption that there is one and only one correct way of doing or looking at things.

Lovely moth, lookin' good, but could be evil if it eats your clothes. Makes for confusion in the world. DrumMajor
