I hate how that pastor thinks because marriage equality is passed that he can't preach against the LGBT community in general. Nothing in any state's bill has restricted the right to free speech and he's under either a paranoid deception or just plain lying to get his way.

Which is similar to the paranoid fear that churches will be "forced" to perform same sex marriages. A lot of churches even today have expelled members for finding out they were gay and even going to the extreme of expelling their family members as well.

If they can do that, they shouldn't have to worry about marriage equality playing a factor because they are a church and under the 1st amendment can play by almost any rules they set up.

But they also never give voices to the churches that do support marriage equality. A methodist church in NC made big news with it's support, and I hear some Lutheran churches are becoming more liberal.

And virtually every Unitarian Universalist church would be more than happy to perform the marriages.

Well said Mr. Adam!

Hopefully the Kansas-based Westboro Baptist "Church," who pickets military funerals and is severely anti-gay, decided they couldn't afford to send their few family/church members to Hawaii.

I hope the bill is passed!

I couldn't see the video, but really, really hope that the bill is passed. And more, I hope that this shameful prejudice rapidly becomes history - world wide.
