Shouting At The Buddha

    A    L    O    H    A  !
" The only fence
against the world
is a thorough
 knowledge
of it. "

John Locke

" Never say
there is nothing
beautiful
in the world anymore.

There is
always something
to make you wonder
in the shape of a tree,
the
trembling
of a leaf. "

Albert Schweitzer

 “ The resistance
to the unpleasant
situation
is the root
of suffering. ”

Ram Dass

]0[

Buddha and his companions
had been walking all day.

They approached a small village
when suddenly
a man came shouting
full of anger
right at Buddha
who continued walking
calmly.

Later on
someone asked him
what they all wondered:
"Why did you not
engage him?"

"Let me ask you a question:

If someone gives you a
gift that
 you choose not to receive,
to whom
 does it belong?"

Beyond basic safety
refuse to accept
or engage
the sticky traps
of entanglement.

Keep flying!

You will not save
those sinking in quick sand
by sinking in it
yourself.

Be a little selfish.
It's called
"Self Preservation"

You can blame me
and Buddha.

Thanks SO much
for Your visit!
                Warmly, cloudia

truth in that story...
we coose who and what to engage in
and if something we are doing angers us, we choose to keep doing it...or not

Never shout at the Buddha; allow yourself to be calmed and soothed by him.

Beautiful photos Cloudia! Hope you are well!! I cannot wait to see a palm tree up close!! So tired of the snow and dreariness that is here right now...

Absolutely Cloudia..peace! I believe aggression doesn't solve aggression and also.. it drives people mad when you don't engage and that's more satisfying haha!

Love the Buddha story. x

I love this story. It's so true isn't it? It's often (usually) better not to engage because it can inflame the situation. And in these days, it's safer.
