Under my window, on a Sunny Sunday
here in Waikiki,
I saw a party being launched.
As it developed, we realized that
it was no mere party,
but a wedding.
The Video is 1 minute long,
and curiously touching.
Woven mats given as gifts,
used in ceremony,
are a Samoan custom,
possibly Tongan as well.
Enjoy the spying, er

Pretty little song.
A lovely song to go with an occasion of hope.
the wraps are neat!
Did I see tears of joy and happiness being touched by the person on the left? Such a lovely tune to wrap around this day as well.... Happiness to the new couple!
Ha ha! Cloudia...I am Albanian. My Mom was born there. You have quite a view....
I wish the couple much happiness and joy in a long life!
And to you, Cloudia! Aloha, ma amie!
Happiness is indeed a form of courage Cloudia and has to be worked at. Well worth it though.
Lovely little ceremony spot. Haven't seen those towers of large folded leaves before. Beautiful woven wrapping mat.

Every once in a while when I'm in the French Quarter we'll observe either a wedding or funeral. Very surreal most times, especially the funerals.
Thanks, dear Pals ♥
So cool. I love weddings. I wish them happiness.
Have a good weekend.
That's the first I've heard of woven mats being a gift for such an occasion.
