"The bird swam swiftly
and gracefully toward
the Magic Isle, and as it drew nearer
its gorgeously colored plumage
astonished them. The feathers were
of many hues of glistening greens

with a red plume, and
 pink, white and violet
in its tail.”

Poor kitty. Pixie had to wait for you to click the shutter before you would let her in. :))

Pixie looks perfectly charming!

I love today's quotes, and the pictures are wonderful. Pixie doesn't look too forgiving in the picture. Did she forgive you after she got inside?

How fun Cloudia, a sweet cartoon photo of Miss Pixie, it's purr-fect! Quotes wise and your bouquet of colors in your first photo must be from a land where dreams are born.

And has Pixie forgiven you?

Some of Baum's better writing. He wasn't bad at description but he sure couldn't write action. At least in my opinion.

NO Pixie Cats were Harmed in the making of this post!

It was a cold night, she demanded to go out, then in the manner of all cats, turned around and gave me that suffering look. I hope you agree that it was worth an extra moment's posing for our girl

The colors of the trees beyond that fence were stunning.
I enjoy how you match pictures to quotes.
Loving the cat one.

Our cat plays the 'I want to go out, I want to come in' game, too!
Thankfully after a couple of ins and outs, it is nap time!
