Many many years ago I
learned and never have forgotten
a foolproof and effective
way to handle people:
'Treat Children Like Adults.
Treat Adults Like Children.'
Sounds a clever turn of phrase,
concealing much insight
into our Human Nature.
Be present, frank,
never 'talking down'
and children will
surprise you.
Pleasantly greet adults.
Ask how their day is,
smile when you see them
making judicious
eye contact.
You awaken the
child in every adult
who is not above being
cared over and jolly
up a bit.
In fact is hungry for it!
See the wise being
in every child.
And the need for
babying
in every adult.
You will go far.
You will be liked.
I'm Already Quite
Fond of YOU!

Hello, Cloudia! Great post and wise words. I love the ducks! Have a happy day!
Birdies! Duckies! Yay!
Thanks, Duckies!
I do like that line of thought. And bird watching has a nice way of making one feel calm.
Great advice on both counts, Cloudia! You rock!
I had so much fun with my client yesterday! She's 92 and she makes me laugh. VERY feisty.
Great message today! I love the bird pics, especially the one in the top of the tree!!
Wonderful words for the day, Cloudia!
I'm fond of you Cloudia! I love this post. Let's be frank - what post don't I like of yours! Thanks for the wisdom in your thoughts.
=)
Thanks for making me feel so amazing with your kind comments!
Hmm, a thought-provoking post. I always treated children as adults. However, I treat dogs like children. They don't seem to be offended by it.
Nice series of birds.
And we are so very fond of you too sweet Cloudia. (and of course Miss Pixie too) okay and that Mallard duck in your first photo, he appears to be so proud of himself!
