Does the right tilt on your exclamation mark require a switch in language on your keyboard? If I clock on an icon on my screen, I can switch over to Canadian French, for example, which adds accents, but also can be a factor in punctuation like that. I imagine American computers might be set for Spanish alternates, which would explain the exclamation mark. Though done as an italic, that could also do it.
