From The Inside Outward

A L O H A From Honolulu!

I am still determined to be
cheerful and happy, in whatever
situation I may be; for I have
also learned from experience that
the greater part of our happiness
or misery depends upon our
dispositions, and not
upon our circumstances.
Martha Washington

The truth is ultimately
very simple.
Lies grow in complication
until they break down

The goal of life is rapture.

Joseph Campbell

Greatness isn't achieved by worrying
what everyone thinks of you.
Don't look outside. The
praise, criticism, expectations;
it's all just noise. Look inside
to your heart and soul
and do your thing.
Do it with love
and create greatness
from the inside out.
   Jon Gordon

Sunshine on my shoulders
makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes
can make me cry
Sunshine on the water
looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always
makes me high
John Denver, Michael C. Taylor,
Richard L. Kniss

So glad you enjoyed remembering this song as much as I did. That was the sound of the '70s!

Our new doggie is not a play catch dog. You throw her something, even food, and it bounces off her head and then she picks it up.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Beautiful photos and lovely sayings too; I heartily agree with Martha Washington. That's a saying I try to live by.

I love that last one. Very timely for us at the moment. We had ACTUAL Nazis in the street marching and saluting (in this country, not our street). I can't get over it. I can't get over there are actual nazis in this country. Or that people even think like that. So yes, the need to treat people with respect and kindness (and be inclusive) seems even more important than ever....AwwMondays

We are spending as much time with our remaining cat Elliot since we lost his 20 year old brother at Christmas. It’s hard when you know time is short and there isn’t anything you can do. But there was a new medication that came out in January that is a shot for older cats because they all have arthritis when they get older. This shot helps them be more comfortable and we have noticed that Elliot is jumping with more ease and using the stairs so we hope that he is in less pain. Michelle.
