Brushstrokes

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Gentle waves are painting
Stories on the shore,
Foamy lines that whisper tales
Of what has come before.

In Jewish thought,
a sin is not an offense
against God, an act of
disobedience. A sin is a
missed opportunity
to act humanly.
Rabbi Harold Kushner

Rest and be kind,
you don’t have to
prove anything.

Shadows like brushstrokes
On a canvas blue,
Foretelling in riddles
what the day will do.

Palm fronds and light
 symphony unbound,
Nature's languages
Without any sound.

Those who bring sunshine
to the lives of others cannot
keep it from themselves

Well, Christians certainly alterred the Jewish view of sin. Even thought-sins became a stain on our souls.

Wow, it looks like Pixie gets to be outside of the house. Loved the quote about sin, since I never bought into it...the way it's taught.

You and Pixie are absolutely awesome! I'll never look at waves on the shore in the same way again.

I have a real fondness for woodpeckers - but we dont have any at all in Australia.

The difference between a rising and a setting sun is not to been seen on a photo. Now my thoughts are stalling on.
