Choice & Fate

A   L   O   H   A  !
" The Fates guide
one who will,
those who won't
they drag. "

Seneca

" Diplomacy
is the art
of telling plain
truths without
giving offence. "

Winston Churchill

"Everything
can be taken
from us,
but one thing,
the last of the
human freedoms -
to choose one's
attitude
in any given
set of circumstances,
to choose
one's
own way."

Viktor Frankl
"Man's Search for Meaning"

&//////////////////////////&

Fate or the gods
do not drive us.

But-

We obviously
do not choose
everything
that happens to us.

Life is made up
of some from
Column "A"
and some from
Column "B"

But that's a
mental game.
Who cares
how many angels
can dance
on the head of
a pin?

Knowing
will only get you
part of the
way there-

What matters
is  befriending
 the angels,
or angel
you may.

Each of YOU
plays that role
for me:
bringing
what I could not
otherwise
enjoy!

Thanks.

The web is crowded.
I appreciate
YOUR visit

Wind Horse 風馬

- <>[}:{]<>=

I dreamed of a horse
 in the house
 last night.

Though not slave to my stars,
 observations of a thousand years
pique my interest.

I notice what resonates,
and glean,
building my cupboard
of cures.

Happy healthy pets,
and plants,
(for example)
 are good feng shui
all masters agree;
 The logic of this
 is evident, practical,
 and energizing to me.
Hinting at deep relations,
effects, and wisdom
of the heart.

In my reading-ranging yesterday
I met a Feng Shui 'cure'
 for my vulnerabilities this year
named Lung Ta,
 the Tibetan Wind Horse
most popularly known from those Prayer flags,
where they generate positives and protections
with each flutter of breeze, touch of sunlight,
 and admiring glance.

 Big white horse with
flowing mane and tail
carries a huge
 wish-granting jewel,
which Tibetans say,
 satisfies all desires.

Not a bad horse
 to welcome into the home!

A Google image search
 yielded many lovely such images.
One of them is now my screensaver.

Images of the wind horse
 protect you and your home
 from hostile energies
 and people.

Last night I dreamed
of a horse
in my house.

The Wind Horse is also
the symbol of Mongolia.

This Gratitude

A L O H A !
Thank You Lord by Bob Marley & The Wailers on Grooveshark

"For each new morning

 with its light,

For rest and shelter of the night,

Battery Operated Sandwich

For health and food,

 for love and friends,

For everything

Thy goodness sends."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Gotta treat this Gratitude stuff
with respect:
Handle it With Care.

It takes one's life quite over
morphs from
"something you're doing"
to Something that's
 Doing YOU!

Powerful Evident Embracing
a life in the suburbs of Heaven.
Even 'deal breakers'
like loss, the feared,
and unexpected
are embraced, absorbed,
subsumed in this
 Powerful Truth.

That's my experience,
and I'm hanging on to it.
Why not?
Gives me more
than worry ever did.

What say YOU?

Ambiguous Piece

A   L   O   H   A  !
Kalama'ula [Instrumental] by Jeff Peterson on Grooveshark

Let's make peace
with the ambiguities
in our relationships.

Not worry ourselves
with over-thinking;
But let it
 Be
a Source
of Mystery,
even Wonder.
Frontier. Voyage
of Discovery

Respect others.
Behave like the person
you want to be.
When you hurt feelings,
apologize.

Beyond that,
allow Others to be
responsible for their own
moods.
It is sheer arrogance
to think ourselves their
cause.

But if you ARE
the cause of another's'
misery
Stop It Now!
Consider this
your wake-up call.

See you, Friend,
tomorrow.
Thanks SO much
for bringing the gift of
Y O U!

Let's go outside and PLAY
(After you leave a comment. Oh please!)

Oatmeal
is synonymous
with 'bland'
But Not
O A T M E A L
of the
g O D S.

I eat this
most every morning
and will not here describe
the health benefits
of these ingredients,
but I will say
we prefer organic
for several reasons.

OOTg Recipe`

OOTg varies
depending on what
nuts & seeds I have;
BUT certain things
make it OOTg:

Curry Powder
lots of it, at least a Tsp.
Fresh Ground Pepper
to taste,
Cinnamon - lots,
Raisins - lots,
Raw Pumpkin Seeds-
generous dash,
Flax seed - tablespoon or lots more,
Psyllium - dash (shhh)
To these ingredients
I add a few (of each)
Almonds,
Walnuts,
Pecans,
Cashews
(or others
 whatever available)
 Raw.

I add all the above
to 1 serving of
 Whole Grain Oatmeal
of my choice;
[ I like
then prepare the 'slurry'
per oat meal instructions:
generally 1/2 cup
oatmeal
(minus other ingredients)
to 1 cup water,
add dry oatmeal
and water to
 other ingredients
in a saucepan;
bring to simmer,
I like to add a dash
of Sriracha, and/or
grated garlic
 to the
cooking OOTg
while it simmers.

Simmer,
 occasionally stirring,
to your desired consistency
(I enjoy it pretty solid)
cover, remove from heat,
let stand 1 minute.

Plop into a bowl
occupied by a peeled
banana.

Optional:

Dust with Chocolate Chips,
or Nutritious Yeast,
or Currants,
or What Have You.

YUMMY!
NOT Boring!
Healthy!

Wow, it's difficult
to write a simple
unambiguous recipe!
Hope you try OOTg
and enjoy it.

Bon Appetite
