This Myna has no respect for U.S. Gov't Property!
 Be gracious and courteous
to strangers, it shows one
is a citizen of the world,
and that your heart is no
island cut off
from other islands,
but a continent that
joins to them.
  Francis Bacon

You win by not being
what they expect
you to be.
In a world where
kindness is a
rebellious act let's
all become rebels!

Some Of Today's Rainbows

A L O H A From Honolulu!

7:25 a.m.
There will come a day
when people of all races,
colors, and creeds
will put aside their
differences.
They will come
together in love,
joining hands in
unification,
to heal the Earth and
Her children...

7:27 a.m.
...They will move over
the Earth like a
great Whirling Rainbow,
bringing peace,
understanding and healing
everywhere they go.
Navajo
Prophecy of the Whirling Rainbow

7:51 a.m.

8:05 a.m.
If you cannot see the rainbow
because your face is down,
don't argue that no rainbow
is up there. Lift up
your passion and take
your dreams off the ground!
 Israelmore Ayivor

8:19 a.m.
Our lives are rainbows
in reverse
footed in Heaven
passing through Earth...

9:56 a.m.
...Our colors and flavors
deepen as we arch
through plenty and longing,
oasis and parch.

10:25 a.m.

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Well Hello!
Oh I'm not a virus,
I'm an Anti-body!

Call for the grandest
of all earthly spectacles,
what is that? It is the
sun going to his rest.

*By his own testimony, De Quincey first used opium in 1804 to relieve his neuralgia; he used it for pleasure, but no more than weekly, through 1812. It was in 1813 that he first commenced daily usage, in response to illness and his grief over the death of Wordsworth's young daughter Catherine. During 1813–1819 his daily dose was very high, and resulted in the sufferings recounted in the final sections of his Confessions. For the rest of his life, his opium use fluctuated between extremes; he took "enormous doses" in 1843, but late in 1848 he went for 61 days with none at all. There are many theories surrounding the effects of opium on literary creation, and notably, his periods of low use were literarily unproductive.      Link

How To Choose Your Mood

 A L O H A From Honolulu!

Mood is the key to life satisfaction.
The common conception is that
mood is like weather:
it comes and goes
via it's own mysterious logic.
But
you CAN choose your mood.
And mood is the key
to everything.

Better angels
are always nearby.
But so are darker spirits.
They are antagonistic
to one another,
being polar opposites.
Like magnets' ends
they repel one another.

When you have a
worrying thought ,
how you respond
is the whole game.

If you go towards it,
and start to think it,
that repels the brighter,
attracting the darker.
And vice versa.

Whatever you pay attention
to will proliferate.
If you start worrying, just
remind yourself that you
woke up this morning and
be grateful for that.

The voice that says
"Yeah you woke up big deal!"
That is the dark side talking.

Don't go towards it. Deny it.
Turn your back on it.
You do that by
 focusing on something
you love, on gratitude.

Immediately brighter beings
approach as if
congratulating you.
You have chosen them
over those repellent to them.
They always bring good vibes.
And THAT feels GREAT!

Tell me to what
you pay attention
and I will tell you
who you are.
  Jose Ortega y Gassett
