“Let us read and let us dance - two amusements
Voltaire
Albert Einstein
Have you noticed it's infiltation of the culture?
"He drew a circle that shut me out --
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle that took him in."
Edwin Markham
The Hawaiians of old
never said "Aloha"
by itself.
"Aloha Kakou - Love inclusive to all of us.
How are we all doing?"
"Aloha Kakahiaka Kakou -
How are we all
this morning?"
"Aloha Kaua - Aloha to we two;
how are we doing?"
Aloha is always inclusive and comprehensive.

It is said that the Hawaiians of old
recognized a kindred spirit
in Jesus' words.
Thus adopting a Jewish brother
and their own religion
in "becoming"
Christian.
They forgave the gruff
and logical missionaries
who radiated condescension
and constraint.
The Hawaiians
in Christian patience
waited for them
to actually live
the religion they
professed.
Warmth & Inclusion to YOU, my friend.
How are WE today?

Nice images.
Sit with a handsome man for an hour, and it seems like a ???
I'm all for inclusion of all races, shades, religions, politics, humanity.
Hobo, you can't sit with a handsome man for an hour. Either his beeper goes off and he has to get back to the hospital OR he's got an audition in half an hour, OR his beeper goes off and it's his wife. ;-)
now i know..we don't say aloha alone..
*shrug* We is waiting for a sun to rise and be chased across the sky by a moon that will not cry.
We are fine. But especially you. You are in fine form today with this post.
Shalom aleichem.
Another great post from you - thanks !
I've been waiting a long time for some Christians to live the religioun they profess. Many don't.
This post is marvelous. I really liked the Einstein quote on relativity and the nuanced yet inclusive shades of aloha.
I suspect like the rest of us, they are still waiting for everyone to to live the religion they profess
Aloha, namaste, shalom! xox
These are great photos. Nice dancing.
Deep words!
That's a great shot of the dancers Cloudia and I love the Einstein quote. :)

Bowing deeply with palms together: namaste - the peace that is mine is also yours.
I've always liked that Einstein quote. He could be so down-earth for such a brilliant mind!
I too love the Einstein quote. That was my dad's nickname.
Today is a good day.
Great posts, amazing quotes. As always!
ʻaʻohe kanaka ʻeha ʻole i ke aloha.
As there is 'no man who does not suffer in love' - allow me to thank you very much for this post of yours, as it made me feel better again.
I cast my words to the world
and from beyond oceans
you gather here
lucky day!
to show your bright plumage
and sing
your singular songs...
Thanks EACH of you!
The last paragraph is echoed in the Indian/British relationship....they come here and try to "convert," and the humility the British speak of is inherent here in the culture....so the natives sit quietly and wait for the qualities the British speak of to show....
Aloha Kaua!!
namaste /\
aloha!
Namaste to you my two India friends!
