Tread Lightly

Aloha Weary Web Traveler!

Rest here in legendary Waikiki for a spell. . .

People simply love this giant banyan right on Kuhio Beach

"Basic research is what I'm doing

when I don't know what I'm doing."

Wernher von Braun

Spires used to be high places in the old days.
Now the residential & commercial towers are higher.
But all remains grounded in flowers...
...in Aloha.

“An instinctive taste teaches men to build

their churches with spire steeples

which point as with a silent finger to the sky and stars.”

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Light!
Light's the WHOLE thing,
in nature,
and in US.

"Our job

is to tend to our own growth as people,

our grace and integrity and humility.

We need no other goal.

The core of our being

then grows into a substantial

power,

externally as well as internally.

Our ministry becomes

a direct line of creation,

from God

through us

to all mankind."

Marianne Williamson

Well, we are influencing others all the time...

what "mood" what "attitude"

are YOU contributing?

I'm a recovering nervous wreck,

so really living these truths

is what makes my life

livable.....

It feels a lot better,
and people respond better.

And the last US combat brigade has left Iraqi soil.

Good luck to the Iraqi people.

Little by little. . .

Ooh! I love that giant banyan tree. So you have this tree in Hawaii too? I remember seeing huge banyan trees while I was holidaying in Guilin, China!

How I miss not knowing what I do. Surely a great way to measure time and life. Yet again you are able to have the pulse of the world at your fingers. Please have a good Friday.

Aloha, Cloudia --

Is it time for a sunset kayak cruise to help your nerves? The turtles can chat with you, too.

Mahalo for the photos. DrumMajor

I echo the lamp lit greetings here... aloha, namaste, I am listening to Joni Mitchell (I could drink a case of you darlin' and still be on my feet) and imagining the moving beauty that surrounds you.

I agree with anonymous that its time for a sunset kayak cruise for relaxation. As always, your photos are stunning and I really like the quotes. What a big banyan tree! Back home there's a myth that says banyan tree is home for bad spirits....and of course I don't believe it.

Have a nice day. Salaam my friend.

What is making you nervous?

With the slope of the church roof to the right and the slope of the church roof to the left doesn't that make the steeple the middle finger.

Which is exactly what the peoples of Iraq and soon Afghanistan are going to be giving us as we turn them over to Iran.

Bring ALL of the troops home now and quit financing their corrupt leaders.

Wonderful tree and pretty red alpinias !
I think about Irak the american army made in this country trouble, difficult life and the people despair. This war seeded death
on both sides of.
