For The Love Of Money by The O'Jays on Grooveshark

" No, I wouldn't touch a leper

yet I willingly cure him

The obsession with money which dominates our culture scares me. I do not need to be rich to be successful. Not all rich men/women are what I consider successful. And even to a non religious person like myself Mother T was supremely successful.

Dr. Russell Norman Murray said...

'New American Standard Bible (©1995)
For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.'

I do like yellow sports cars.

Yep, I agree with her.

What Russell quoted in spades. That verse probably was edited out of the Bibles the very rich keep in their homes. Sounds too socialistic.

get this .... Apple's stock just went over the $600 mark, but more astonding, they have to decide how to spend $98 billion in cash.

Hey, someone took a picture of my car!

Not a fan of yellow .. money is necessary how else do we provide a home, nourishment and clothing?

I'd kind of like to have that car though. Not that I have anyplace to drive it.

Okay, the car is tempting, but it seems that, instead of getting into it, you would put the car onto your body, kind of like a bad bra. Even skinny people had trouble squeezing into my Mom's beloved 2-seater Mercedes: like a bra: not comfortable, but cute...DrumMajor

distorted values are becoming a larger and larger issue

on a lighter note I now can't stop from humming 'money makes the world go around, the world go around ...'
