A L O H A From Honolulu!
Rise above the clouds.
See the world from
a higher perspective.
Feel the wind and
the sun on your face.
Be free, my soul friend,
Soaring high
There is nothing to fear
Just believe in yourself.
If you look closely at a tree
you'll notice it's knots
and dead branches,
just like our bodies.
What we learn is that
beauty and imperfection
go together wonderfully.
Matthew Fox
In the still of the morning
The world wakes to green,
Sun rushes in
all smiles with flash
And all the birds
are singing.
Help end conflict
Be the off-ramp

* Ube (pronounced "OO-beh") is a purple yam that is native to Southeast Asia and is predominantly used in Filipino cuisine. It is a starchy tuber with a distinct purple-colored flesh that varies in shade. Ube has a mild flavor with subtle notes of pistachio and vanilla. It is often used in desserts, from cakes to ice creams, to provide sweetness and color.

Kindness (and smiles) never go astray. Nor does the beauty you so generously share.
Aloha 🌺
True that smiling is what kindness looks like!
Thats a bold statement.
I love all your inspiring words, post and lovely photos!
Have a great day and happy new week!
Smiling is definitely what kindness looks like. Had to laugh at the spam cartoon. I understand it is gaining a resurgence, partly due to the high price of meat.
They have been selling ube pies at one of our grocery chains. I haven't tried it yet but I think I will now. Love Pixie today. ;-)
"my soul friend"
I like that phrase. It is like saying deepest friend, or maybe friend beyond what we see here. A soul friend is on another level.
Pixie looks how I feel today.
Rise above the clouds, love that quote. Thank you!
Love Pixie's kindly smiles and the mural of Hawaiian foods. Both are deliciously beautiful!
I can't ever remember having spam. And no desire to try it. I think it's the jelly packing it's in.
Ube used to be unknown, but in the last several months, Trader Joe has featured it as a flavor for several of their products, especially for the filling of their famous Joe-Joe cookies, in ube ice cream, in a spread to use on bread, and as the flavor in a waffle mix. So I guess it’s now kind of mainstream!

Amazing pics, Loved the post.
Hello to cute Pixie :)
Have a nice week ahead.
I remember eating Ube in the Philippines when we visited our daughter when she lived there before the pandemic. Colourful mural and love the quotes and Pixie's pose :)
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Cloudia.
Cute characters united for food.
