Stunning To Accept

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Boat we lived aboard for 20 years in Waikiki
Sometimes I go about
in pity for myself
and all the while
a great wind carries
me across the sky

Green is the fresh emblem
of well founded hopes.
In blue the spirit can wander,
but in green it can rest.

Let laughter ring,
A bell in open air

Let joy bloom tender, Dawn's first rose, Unfurling petals
where sunlight grows.

One of the blessings of age
is that most of us get along
with ourselves better than
when we were young.
It is stunning to
accept yourself Anne Lamott

I certainly get along with myself much better than I used to. Still a work in progress though.

I'm still working on getting along with myself better than I used to. Many times, along this "life journey" I had to literally tell myself . . . "I am my OWN worse enemy", and then correct the action/situation. Thankfully, I'm doing much better.

I’m still learning, I think.
I really am in awe of you guys living on a boat for so long. I think I’d get seasick.

The boat looks like some kind of floating antenna.

We are who we are, even if we're not much in the grand scheme.

You have lived your dreams, Cloudia. ;-)

Yes, a cool boat you had, if you ignore maintenance and the annual "see, I can still float and run around the bay" inspection. Mahalo for the tour; seems like yesterday. Bet the slip fee is more than the apartment fee these days. Linda in cold Kansas

It's so true that we accept who we are more readily as we get older. It's a good place to be!
Blessings, Cloudia!

Getting old isn't really that fun, but you do finally get to know yourself and it makes life a lot easier. Can't imagine ever living on a boat, but for twenty years, wow! That is really something.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to Pixie. ♥

The first quote and last spoke to me today. I laughed at the last one, though I enjoy all that you share.

If I remember correctly we have been in touch ever since you lived in that boat!

Cool post today! I like the quotes and the See Yup Society :) We all need a little help from our neighbors at times.
