Loyal Both in Fairness

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Many of us are willing to spend six or eight years studying to get a diploma. We believe it's necessary for us to be happy. But very few of us are willing to spend three or six months, or even a year, training ourselves to handle our sadness or our anger, to listen with compassion, and to use loving speech...

...If you can learn how to transform your anger, sadness, and despair, and if you can learn how to use loving speech and deep listening, you can become a real hero capable of offering happiness to many people.
Thich Nhat Hanh

When did we forget that
you need to know BOTH SIDES
to decide?
When did we lose

Compassion crowns the soul
with its truest victory. Aberjhani

Aloha, dear Cloudia,
I never believed that a diploma could make me happy. Or money. Or a position of power. I know that love in its many forms is good for the heart and being with certain people, with animals, with nature, with art that appeals to me. That learning and listening and looking are important. Oh yes, and gratitude and compassion. That's probably why I've managed to become a person who is almost always satisfied with my life and very often even really happy. Even when I know that many things in the world are anything but perfect.
Love to you and Pixie and all the best from Austria, Traude

The quote is a wise one that would bring peace on Earth if all of humankind followed.
