Less Is The Language

  A L O H A  From

H O N O L U L U

Because somewhere out there
is someone who needs that story.
And that is why we write.
Neil Gaiman
Newbery Acceptance Speech

Out of difficulties
 grow miracles.
 Jean de la Bruyere

Do what you can,
with what you have,
where you are.
Theodore Roosevelt

Less is the language
the heart truly speaks,
Not grand gestures
But silence it seeks.

And peace isn't measured
By things we possess,
But lightness within us
A quiet happiness.

Serene as a pebble
Worn smooth by the tide,
No clutter or chaos
Just space to reside,
A calmness that settles,
Where worries subside.

In quiet contentment
Freedom from bane,
Live life unencumbered
Survive and sustain.

The second orchid is beautiful and an unusual colour.
Pixie looks like she has asked you a question and is waiting for an answer.

When I start shoveling snow today I'll be hoping for some helpful miracles.

I like the picture of clouds on the mountain and the one of a person "looking for someone out there." Your poem today is lovely like Pixie.

Today's words are nice, but the tropical photos are what I really needed on a cold, snowy day.

Despite, not knowing where to link at the T party, I found you. Cloudia, that poem is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year!

I love these quotes! They are the perfect motivation as we start the new year. I have just finished setting my new years resolutions. In 2025 I am hoping to travel more, learn to knit, and have my kitchen cabinets refinished. Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!
