Curiosity

NO FILTER - Fresh Out of Camera

New beginnings
Made fresh daily!

I have no special talents.
I am only passionately
curious.
Albert Einstein

The cure for boredom
is curiosity.
There is no cure
for curiosity.
Dorothy Parker

Curiosity does more than help you learn.
It rewires your brain to make learning easier, more enjoyable, and more effective. When you’re curious, your brain releases dopamine, boosting motivation and pleasure. This activates the hippocampus, improving memory not only for what interests you but also for unrelated information nearby. Curiosity helps you absorb and retain more.
It also enhances neuroplasticity, strengthening your brain’s ability to form new connections and adapt. Curiosity drives exploration and creativity by encouraging you to embrace uncertainty and ask questions.
Importantly, curiosity isn’t limited. You can cultivate it by exploring new things and staying open to the unknown. This trains your brain to learn better and enjoy the process more!

Do stuff. Be clenched,
curious. Not waiting for
inspiration’s shove or
society’s kiss on
your forehead.
     Susan Sontag

A humble reminder that deep curiosity often outshines raw talent—it’s the drive to ask, explore, and wonder that truly fuels genius.

Many of us would disagree with Mr Einstein. Like him I am passionately curious. And always have been.

What is that lizard? An oversized gecko?
The bird looks a bit like our sulphur crested cockatoo, but different.

Great post, Cloudia! Pixie is wearing her curious face. I think she's curious about the taste of gecko and lizard meat... She might take a walk in the park to check that out.

Einstein did have quite a talent whether he thought so or not. Unless he defined talent differently.
