Quiet Bell

 A L O H A  From

Gratitude
O quiet bell
echo my valleys
With all that's gone well.

Let me rest here,
In golden sun
cradled atop the mountain
Of all I've become.
             Cloudia Charters

Erythrina crista-galli,
also known as the
cockspur coral tree,
ceibo or corticeira,
 a species of flowering tree

Happiness is not
a matter of intensity
but of balance, order,
rhythm and harmony.
   Thomas Merton

A good feeling is trying
to break back in.
Insinuating itself, to
make itself at home.
I will make it welcome.
Then together we can
face whatever comes up.

So walk boldly
through the storms,
for the obstacles are
not in your way-
they are the way.

Merton’s words are a gentle reminder that true happiness often lies not in chasing extremes but in cultivating a steady, grounded life—one where everything moves in thoughtful rhythm and quiet harmony.

Love your poem. Did Pixie write hers after a catnip treat??? The sky shot at the beginning is awesome.

Again, something to ponder when the road is sometimes a little too hard.
