* When I was growing up in Philadelphia, Einstein had recently been at Princeton and had visited relatives in our area. Many people still remarked that he didn't wear socks! These were very conformist times, and the lesson I learned was that ideas and genius are more important than what we choose to put on our feet, and that it is okay to be unconventional. I like to claim Einstein for my quirks!

That's a hoot! It's quite popular for men to be sockless these days.
I like the Einstein style. Pixie sitting on the balcony railing. I am so fearful of our Jass being on the balcony. I won't let here out there on her own, much to her annoyance.
