"To have the stars above,

the land to your left and

the sea to your right and

to realize of a sudden that

in your heart, life has

a fairy tale.”

          Nikos Kazantzakis,

appearance every second.

Blessed is the man who

can recognize him in

all his disguises.”

                 Nikos Kazantzakis

 “I felt once more how

simple and frugal a

thing is happiness: a

glass of wine, a roast chestnut,

a wretched little brazier,

the sound of the sea.

Nothing else.”

    Nikos Kazantzakis

Steel Cactus

"The cactus thrives

in the desert

while the fern thrives

in the wetland.

The fool will try

to plant them

in the same

flowerbox...

The child will turn

it around properly so

that the fern is in

the shade, and

not the cactus."

           Vera Nazarian

"The flight from boredom

is the mother of all art."

       Rudiger Safranski

Driving around the

neighborhoods of Novato CA

one see's great natural

beauty, hills, meadows,

horses. . . ART!

We have long admired

these steel cactus, and

spinning kinetic

sculptures adorning

the front lawn of a

nice house in

 a pleasant

Novato neighborhood.

"Let's knock on the door.

Let's leave a note!"

I wanted to know.
