" Love

opening presents

 " There is that
 indescribable freshness
 and unconsciousness
about an illiterate person
 that humbles

the power of the

Walt Whitman

My Friend:

I want YOU

to open YOUr

 own wings

and take off -

Not pump you up

with words

and throw you

off a cliff.

Whatever beauty
you find here
wouldn't bloom
without
the inner truth
YOU bring!

Be a 'Saturday Kid' for 3 Minutes

A L O H A !

 When we look back
at how,
and who,
we used to be
perspective shifts,
changes
with the years.

 " I always knew
 looking back
on my tears
 would bring me
 laughter,
but I never knew
 looking back on my
 laughter
 would make me cry.  "

Cat Stevens

The kids are Hawaii kids

Human Cause

Empty Garden by Elton John on Grooveshark

 I just found 100 ways
 to do it wrong "

Benjamin Franklin

 " Space
is the stature
of God. "

Joseph Joubert

" Every day is a surprise.
There are confirmations
of an
interconnectivity
and
synchronicity
which inspire, titillate
and confirm
the inherent comedy
of the universe. "

 Billy Zane

The biggest problems
that we face
are
Human Made Problems,
or
Human Ignored Problems.

We create our world
with laws
and customs,

-public, private
 & family-

evolving
over time,

as
thousands of planters,

with their own ideas

plant in the same  garden
over time.

Some see a failed
formal garden;
Others celebrate
the riot of
diversity.

Niches grow up
and defend
their ecology.

Certain virtues
get choked out.

But there is one
Golden Hope
for our
garden called
Society::

Human problems
have human
solutions.

And as soon as
enough of us
see through the fog
deciding that
something matters,

Then We Can
Do Anything.

When we pull
in the same
direction.

Thank    Y O U
for blooming here
in Our Garden!

Edith Head

Even a
 large place
can feel
claustrophobic.

Tiny spaces
can contain
multitudes.

 Florida Scott Maxwell

" That spacious sound
you hear in this post
is the empty space
between my ears
today! "

Other People

A  L  O  H  A !
Some People by Original Broadway Cast on Grooveshark

" The secret
 of many a success
in the world
 resides
in insight
 into the moods
of others
and  tact
 in dealing with
 them. "

J. G. Holland

  “ The well bred
 contradict
other people.
 The wise
contradict
themselves. ”

 Oscar Wilde

" Somebody Else's Problem
 (also known as SEP)
 is a condition where
 individuals/populations
 choose to decentralize themselves
from an issue
that may be in critical need
 of recognition. "

 Wikipedia

 “ Knowing your own
 darkness
 is the best method
 for dealing with
the darknesses of
other people. ”

 Carl Gustav Jung

" The more we deny
that we have a dark side,
 the more power
 it has
over us. "

Sheryl Lee

 “  Most people
 are other people.
Their thoughts
are someone else's
 opinions,
 their lives
a mimicry,
 their passions
 a quotation.  ”

 Oscar Wilde

“ Without deep reflection
 one knows
 from daily life
that one exists
 for other people .”

Albert Einstein

Something good
 happened to me;
I got depressed.

It made me realize:
"Hey!
This is how I used to feel
ALL the time."

Now I don't -
but HOW did I
live with that?!

How did I ever
LIVE
like that?

Now,
 for the most part,
I'm grateful
& enjoying.

Hell
used to be
Other People.

Now I feel
that as long as there
are Others Like
You Folks
in my life,
that Heaven
will always be
reachable.

Hearing
hateful, limited, false,
damaging words
disturbs my equilibrium.
And there are
PLENTY today.

So how do I CARE,
but remain unruffled
by the darker
aspects of humanity?

How can I respond
to falsehood
without losing
my light
to anger?

As we mature
sometimes we feel
like we've seen it all
before.

How do we share
something other than
frustration,
disappointment,
disillusionment
with others
(especially younger people)
?

One thing I've learned
is that the next
comment,
the next blog post,
that I read
can ignite magic!

Often,
just knowing
that friends care
changes the
world.

Thanks for being
a force for good
in our circle,
and in my
life!

Secret Places

A  L  O  H  A !

" Such, such were the joys
When we all, girls and boys,
In our youth time were seen
On the Echoing Green ."

Blake

 Friedrich Nietzsche

 Today was fun.
Tomorrow is another one."
Dr. Seuss

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin
conducted an experiment
with girls ages 7 to 12
in which they exposed the girls
 to the stress of speaking
to a group of strangers.
Afterward, a third of the girls
 were hugged by their mothers,
a third spoke to mom on the phone,
and a third
watched a film.
While measured stress rose
 in the movie watchers,
the stress in both other groups
dropped equally.
"That a simple phone call
could have this
physiological effect on oxytocin
is really exciting."
Co-investigator Seth Pollak
told Scientific American.

Your visits make me feel
