Sun Leaves, Rain Leaves, Unsettled

A L O H A !

without anxious dependence

to rest satisfied

which is sufficient. "

Hawaii Geckos Out and In

A L O H A !
"Everything
that I understand,
I understand
only because
I love."
                     Leo Tolstoy

Here's a Fine Fellow:
"If  on the way,
you meet someone
who knows,
don't speak a word,
and don't keep silent.
                           Zen Proverb

Lucky I spotted him:

" Life is full of beauty.
Notice it. "
                Ashley Smith

'yare'
Quick; Agile; Lively.

Geckos bring
good luck into the home,
eat insects, entertain the cat.

They bring nature,
and an element of

*S U R P I S E*

into an otherwise
static, space.

If home is our Garden,
geckos are
our faeries.

Our home geckos are plump blondes
" The power of finding
beauty
 in the humblest things
makes home happy
and life lovely. "

When our ancestors gathered
around the fire
at end of day
new interactions blossomed.

By day we communicated
to hunt & cooperate,

But by the fire
new  things emerged:
sharing hopes & story-telling,
[ 81% of the conversation* ]

The very things
that make us human
evolved as we shared,
as we stared,
as we dreamed, remembered,
traveled time and distance
in our stories.

Today
our fire is
made of pixels
on a screen.

But together
we dream
we share
lament, & celebrate.

We make each other human.
Returning to our "Day"
to our "Work"
revived & refreshed.

Thank YOU friend
for sharing the stories!

Honolulu Buddhist Temple

A  L  O  H  A !

" Shingon Shu Hawaii
915 Sheridan Street in Honolulu, Hawaii,
is one of the most elaborate displays
of Japanese Buddhist temple architecture in HawaiÊ»i.
It was first built in 1917-1918 by Nakagawa Katsutaro,
a master builder of Japanese-style temples,
then renovated in 1929 by Hego Fuchino,
a self-taught man who was the first person
of Japanese ancestry to become
a licensed architect in the Islands. "
