Ancient Conversations
A L O H A !
“A wild duck is not to be
valued in terms of food along
with chickens and pork chops.
It means day breaking over the marshes
and the whistle of fast wings
in the gray light.
Who can put a price on
the sight of black ducks
climbing over the willows. . .”
David M. Newell
"Style is a natural extension
of who you are as a person."
Mark Richards

command everybody."
Louis de Saint-Just
“There is an ancient conversation going on
between mosses and rocks,
poetry to be sure.
About light and shadow and
the drift of continents. . . the
"dialect of moss on stone -
an interface of immensity and
minute ness, of past and present,
softness and hardness, stillness
and vibrancy. . .”
Robin Wall Kimmerer,
