Strong Enough To Leap

A   L   O   H   A  !

 Ink cannot tell the

glow that

lights me at this moment

in turning to the mountains.

I feel strong

[enough] to leap

Yosemite walls at a bound.

The future is for those

who know how to wait.

 Russian Proverb

It’s good to hope,

it’s the waiting

that spoils it.

The splendour falls

And snowy summits

old in story.

Dreams pass into

Summer afternoon,

summer afternoon;

to me those have

always been the two

most beautiful words

in the English language.

Henry James

When you're a kid,

you lay in the grass

and watch the clouds

going over, and you

literally don't have a

thought in your mind.

It's purely meditation,

and we lose that.

Since everything

is a reflection

everything can

not

what you want.

So if you want it

then reflect it.

Hold On Loosely

A   L   O   H   A !

"I guessed life

was like that.

You gained and you lost,

and if you saved anything

from the ruins, even if

only a shred of

self-respect,

- it was enough to take you

through the next bit.

Dick Francis

In the midst of winter,

I finally learned

there was in me

an invincible summer.

    Albert Camus

Without the strength

to endure the crisis,

one will not see the

opportunity within.

It is within the

process of endurance

that opportunity

reveals itself.

Chin-Ning Chu

Just hold on loosely

But don't let go

If you cling to tightly

You're gonna lose control

Your baby needs

someone to believe in

And a whole lot of

space to breathe in.

No Rules Here

A   L   O   H   A !

Mahogany Trees planted in 1912, Kalakaua Ave.

i thank You God for

most this amazing day:

for the leaping greenly

spirits of trees and a

blue true dream of sky;

and for everything

which is natural

which is infinite

which is yes

e.e. cummings

Little tendrils of the heart

Curling out and groping,

Seeking little things to hold,

Wiggling and hoping.

Little tendrils, little tendrils,

innocent and plucky,

I pray that you are careful

And I hope that

you are lucky.

Wish I Knew But I Do

A   L   O   H   A  !

Self-care is never

a selfish act-it is

simply good stewardship

of the only gift I have,

the gift I was put on earth

to offer to others.

     Parker Palmer

Be that self

which one

truly is.

Soren Kierkegaard

Prejudices are

what fools use

for reason.

 Voltaire

When pure sincerity

forms within,

 it is outwardly realized

in other people's hearts.

 Lao Tzu

Who am I?

I wish I knew.

So many versions

like the years just flew,

but I knew by each

successive permutation

some aspect of

the project to

polish, or completely

smooth down.

I'm  done

with the frown.

Oh I've seen it around.

But it can do it's job

elsewhere.

Hanging back more

but I still care,

and bringing the

Good Stuff distilled

from mountaintops

with a dash of despair.

So there.

We're here.

And I do hold You

dear.

Love the loving

avoid the hate

heaven is within you,

inhabit it.

Don't wait.

Fondly,
