Taste The Dawn

A L O H A From Honolulu!

I rise to taste the dawn,
and find that love alone
will shine today.

All journeys have

Oasis of serenity
Inside a parking garage.
Cascading in green
Dancing with the breeze
I like this

Seabirds feed them to their young, sometimes
dropping one, or the young do.

The anchovy which is found
in the sea at Athens,
men despise on account of
its abundance, calling it
a poor man's fish; but in
other cities, they prize it,
even where it is far
inferior to our
Athens anchovy.
Chrysippus

Silence is a profound melody,
for those who can hear it
above all the noise.

Perhaps It Unlocks Your Dreams

A L O H A From Honolulu!

What makes you vulnerable
makes you beautiful.
There's a word for it...
...Authentic.
Jim Brown

The understanding gained
in examining a life itself
comes to permeate that life
and direct its course.
To live an examined life
is to make a self-portrait. Robert Nozick

Life is all memory
except for the one
present moment that
goes by so quick you can
hardly catch it going. Tennessee Williams

To all of the grandmothers

more gentle, more tolerant
and more safe for our children.
Never doubt your importance. Mary-Lou Rosengren

day in your life. It will
be important enough.

On a post a shiny lock gleams Though it guards nothing it seems Brightly new with nothing to connect So what does this lock protect? Perhaps it holds a secret? Perhaps it's a symbol indeed? A reminder there is always something unknown. Or perhaps it unlocks
your dreams.

Rise Up Together

A L O H A From Honolulu!

The scariest demons
of darkest night,
fade in the glory
of morning's good light.

We are made to rise,
to soar, born to
reach for stars, to
share the sky before us.
So let us rise together

With hearts full of love,
Show the world
what we're made of.
A nation of dreamers,
A nation of hope,
Together we can overcome.
So let us rise together.

Make our voices heard,
Sing but do not shout
Stand in the light
Resilient people,
Our nation of hope,
Together we prevail.

We can be serene
even in the midst of
calamities and, by our
serenity, make others
more tranquil.

Maracas on the Shadow Tree Trail

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Colorful maracas
Hanging as a curtain.
Mysterious and joyful
They whisper on the breeze.
I imagine we are dancing
in a faraway land. The people are happy.
And we are happy too.
Now I know they are
more than just decor
They are a secret doorway
to another world. If you dare step through,
You'll be transported,
To a place where
anything is possible.

Tropic like it’s hot
And they lived
pineappley ever after

The Shadow Tree may tell
Shadow Tree may show
Secrets of the fairies
Dancing full moon's glow.
Ancient nature whispers.
If we listen.

We learn from sunset's hour To let the cares of day Pass by, and in the stillness Reflect on gracious day.

Come inside before the fire
the nights are growing long.
Our sweetness all the sweeter
Since you joined me
in this song!

So close your eyes,
Take a sip
And a deep breath,
The maracas are
Waiting for you.

Eloquence of Silence

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Not until just before dawn
do people sleep best;
not until people get old
do they become wise.
             Chinese Wisdom

A good society is characterized
not just by liberty but by
mutual respect and responsibility.
When this breaks down
it takes a lot more than
police officers to put things right.
   David Lammy

Mimosa pudica, known as the sensitive plant
responds to touch by rapidly closing its leaves and drooping.
When you're sensitive,
you're alive in every
sense of this word in
this wildly beautiful world
 Sensitivity is your strength.
Keep soaking in the light
and spreading it to others.
   Victoria Erickson

“E lei no au i ko aloha”
I will wear your love as a wreath.

Continue to do good, and
heaven will come down to you.
Hawaiian Proverb

You become what you think about.
Napoleon Hill

Now let me sit here,
on the threshold
of two worlds.
Lost in the
eloquence of silence.

Love Light and Rest

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Courtesy of Bradford Lum @ikemanu7327

May you hear the laughter
of children and understand it
as a song coming from the sacred.
May you feel the hugs of elders
and experience them as
encounters with angels.
Otis Moss III

Smiling is something
we can do for others
that ends up benefiting
us the most.
Smile early and often.

O Birds of Paradise,
With your blue and gold
Strange bright birds
from the land of the sun,
In garden setting
of green and light
As if in a dream,
You touch my heart.

You are a message
of hope and of light
You are beauty,
light, love and rest

O Flower Birds
Fill my heart with a song

Day-moon shines
On the beauty of
Flowers and light.
All Blossoms
Are Friends Of
The Moon

Happiness, not in another place but this place, not for another hour, but this hour. Walt Whitman
