Night and Day

Stillness unfolds—

night’s breath, cool and wide.

Moon drifts, mountains silent,

stars hush the tide...

...Sun brushes dew—

morning opens bright.

Petal by petal,

quiet turns to light.

E.J. Korvette, often referred to as Korvette's, was a discount department store chain that operated in the eastern United States from 1948 to 1980. It was a pioneering force in the discount retail industry, significantly impacting how consumers shop today.

Despite the long-standing urban legend that E. J. Korvette stood for "Eight Jewish Korean War Veterans," the name actually came from Eugene (E) Ferkauf and his buddy Joe (J) Zwillenberg, “Korvette” was based on the naval ship “corvette” The store launched before the Korean War even started.

It Was A Time. Good and Bad.

But it was a time. . .

*The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, known as the "Pink Palace of the Pacific," is a landmark of Waikiki Beach and one of the most historic and luxurious hotels in Hawaii. Opened in 1927 as the largest construction project in the Pacific at the time, its striking Spanish-Moorish architecture and distinctive pink façade quickly made it an island icon[1][2][9]. Throughout its history, the hotel has played host to celebrities, world leaders, and landmark events, serving as a glamorous resort destination and even a key military rest center during World War II[1][3]. Today, it stands as a symbol of Hawaii's heritage, blending historic elegance with modern amenities, and is recognized as a member of Historic Hotels of America[1][3][8].

Soaring With Ease

The waves curl and crash,

with a salty sea breeze,

But up here, I’m weightless

just soaring with ease.

I lift like a gull, with

the tide and the sun,

Levitating at the beach?

Oh, this is pure fun!

Our Own Quiet World

 A L O H A  From

H O N O L U L U

Hand to hold,

Love and warmth enfold life's truest treasure isn't gold.

Health of heart blooms It's quiet ways, In peaceful hearts On sunlit days.

Sun-dried wildflowers,

dusty and true, Each petal a story About me and you.

Yes, I'm rich, not in gold or parade, But in the glittering heap Of rich moments we've made. Our life spun of sunbeams

and a sprinkle of blues, Tapestry of moments Stitch by stitch Me and you.

Come in, sit near Let the silence unfurl, Our riches bloom best in our own quiet world. Cloudia Charters ꤛꤜꤛꤜꤛꤜꤛꤜ

Think Say Want and Do

 A L O H A  From

H O N O L U L U

Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want, and do. Emanuel Swedenborg
