A quiet room doesn't even have to be quiet.
My morning spot is my quiet time and quiet room, but I hear the sounds of the nearby highway. The pavement brings sounds from miles away.If you are listening for the highway, it can be a bit annoying. But if you are listening for the birds, the neighbor's roosters and chickens, the distant cows mooing in the fields -- the highway sounds fade into the background and the peace of nature takes its rightful place.
Even quiet time in a busy park can be good. Pixie would like a bit of quiet now please. ;-)
Some years back I read an entire book on solitude. It made me appreciate a quiet room. Thanks for these, Cloudia.
I like the Milne quote, and a cat photo is perfect for it.
