Whispers Of The Moon (Peace Lilies)

 A L O H A  From

H  O  N  O  L  U  L  U

Cover me
With the red sky tonight
The promise of a
better day to come
Sing over me
An angelic symphony
Tell me everything
will be alright
With the red sky tonight.
Brandon Heath

1952 Chevrolet Suburban (Custom)

 Old cars are not
just metal and paint,
they're time machines
that hold the
stories of our past.
  Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Here in muted morning light,
Peace lilies bloom
Crispy and white.
Little moons afloat
On seas of green,
Their quiet glow
A tranquil scene.

Green leaves
Are waves in shadows play,
Inviting hope
To breathe upon the day.
Each petal embodies
Calm quite near,
Pleas for peace
May all of us hear!

Beneath the trees
They spritely sway,
Guardians of a softer way.
This field of moons
Serene and bright,
Inviting us to view the world
In their own
More tender light.
   Cloudia Charters

We are all strangers
in a strange land,
longing for home, but
not quite knowing what
or where home is.
We glimpse it sometimes
in our dreams, or as
we turn a corner, and
suddenly there is a strange,
sweet familiarity that vanishes
almost as soon as it comes.
 Madeleine L'Engle

What a fabulous old car. I agree that no one voted for Elon Musk!

The old Chev looks terrific. Fancy riding around in that. Well, I'd love to.

The connection between time, memory, and the things we hold dear resonates strongly, especially when thinking about how old vehicles, like the 1952 Chevrolet Suburban, capture moments of history. The red sky and angelic symphony paint a peaceful and reflective image, making this a beautiful piece of writing to ponder over. It’s always fascinating how the present and past blend together, both in nature and in the stories we keep.

I shared a new post; you are invited to read: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/04/amazing-guidingcross-hoodie-testimony-faith-hope.html Thank you.

Madeleine L’Engle captures that haunting, beautiful ache of longing so well—the sense that home isn’t always a place, but a feeling just out of reach

Old cars are always interesting, but I am not sure that our present cars will be interesting when they are old.

I always enjoy seeing old cars, thinking of all the time and attention that the man (usually) has put into it. Your peace lily poem was just right.

Pixie's mouth and nose look read like she's wearing lipstick. Is she dressed up to play with peace lilies or to attend a "paws off" rally? Great poem today.
