A L O H A From Honolulu!

On Saturday morning

I walk to the beach.

It's just a short distance from

where I walk by every morning;

But on Saturday I cross Kalia

and walk down Paoa Place

between the Hale Koa,

and the Hilton.

Today I saw a black feral cat 

catch a grey dove

pulling it down!

But perhaps being unschooled

in the hunt, or surprised,

kitty lost her grip in the flutter

as dove flew up and away.

What else will we see?

A blessed haze lies upon all

this region, wherein is held

a little more of the sunlight

than other places hold,

and a little more of the

summer's humming music

of birds and bees; so that

men walk through it

as through a faery place,

and feel greater joy and

wonder than they ever

afterward remember.

All of these photos were taken in 

Marin County California when we

lived there recently for 4 years. 

Pixie had the chance to meet &

greet the wildlife, to walk along the fence, 

and to hear the coyotes call. 

I'm pretty sure she also was on friendly terms 

with the racoon family on the property. 

The ducks were her especial friends.

 I saw them beak to whisker many times. 

Pixie was trying to figure them

out. The ducks hoped she 

had some food for them no doubt.
