Clock Unwise

A L O H A     Greetings!

“For centuries,

 man believed that the sun

revolves around the earth.

Centuries later,

 he still thinks that time

moves clockwise”

Robert Brault

“Come out

of the circle of time.

 And into the circle

 of love.”

Case for Space Case

A  L  O  H  A !

"I like life. It's something to do."

        Ronnie Shakes

" Appreciation is a wonderful thing:

It makes what is excellent in others

belong to us as well. "

Voltaire

" Prejudices

 are what fools use

 for reason. "

Voltaire

  > <  }  }  ( ° >

How busy we are getting it "Done"

rushing to "Correct."

We seldom even notice

what life is brightly showing

 right before our eyes.

Others do not hear

what we tell them;

They are on to the

Next Thing.

Just like we are.

How often do we miss

fresh breezes

of a new "Aha?"

We seek an image

native only to our minds,

blind to ripe real

treasures all around.

Friend my friend

allow a Sacred Space.

Permit holy delay;

Wait for an Angel to pass.

Nature always fills a vacuum.

So learn to leave a space.

Mine is right between my ears :-)

Keep Your Head

A L O H A !

Each generation is bemused

to see their baubles & beliefs

become nostalgia.

Each generation is shocked

when their 'way things are'

slides into

'how we used to do it.'

History is not over!

Our children see

 through new lenses

as did we.

So what have we accomplished?

What 'Age' have we been living in?

Only with the perspective of time

and the arrogance of scholars

are labels attached:

'Dark Age'  'Age of Discovery'

'Renaissance'

Perhaps our Age of Unraveling,

of chickens coming finally home

to roost in our guts,

is not the Age

our children know;

Just prologue,

brother prologue.

The carriage man's world

dissolved

in a romance of speed

 and flight.

 Thus ended the

Age of Horse.

Each generation

dances

upon the grave

 of their elders,

still ignorant mercifully

as were we

that History has not ended

however much it seems so

in their midday sun.

So, dear Friend:
LIVE LOVE LAUGH
& Be Happy.
And if things seem to be
Falling Apart?
They ALWAYS Are.
Don't cry that the box
is no longer full.
Enjoy your chocolates
right through
to the end
of the
box!

Language Discovered

A  L  O  H  A !

Here in Hawaii,
all the newcomers

and the Hawaiians

developed a unique language

for working class communication

called
Hawaii Creole English, HCE,

We call it Pidgin.

I will never speak like a native speaker

of Pidgin, but I (mostly) understand

and use Pidgin proudly.

If you read my book

(see the top of this page,

there on the right)

you already know Pidgin.

BUT

NO ONE KNEW

that Hawaii's Deaf

also developed their own

unique and practical

Hawaii Sign Language

HSL !

Older members of Hawaii's

Deaf community

recently brought this language

to the attention of the Linguistics

Department at University Of Hawaii

who consider this a true, unique language

that will now be documented

before it disappears.

This is the biggest discovery

in the linguistics community in

Some Time!

Headlines include:

""Nearly lost language discovered in Hawai'i "
LINK

Check it out,
and to hear Hawaiian Pidgin
listen to the family in the brief video:

All my life

would grow
