A L O H A
From
Honolulu
A pensive little dog
in her party dress.
All dressed up,
with second thoughts.
She knew she looked lovely.
It was just the mingling.
Perhaps she could
greet the hostess and
slip under a chair.
She paused at the door to
collect herself.
And sniff.
Her dress said party.
Her eyes said home.
Maybe the will be cheese!
A little shy.
A little overdressed.
Very interested in
refreshments.
I fact she was
obsessed!
Pixie
I’m not judging.
This is just my
resting dragon face.
I came for the view.
I stayed for
the nonsense.
Don’t look up.
It only encourages me.
A little perspective—and
suddenly everyone’s
a snack!
Guest Dragon
Pixie brought her
stuffed pals near—
“Come, my dears,
the party’s here!”
Bear wore wings,
a ghost wore lace—
oh, that’s Bunny!
There’s her face!
Dog came dressed up
as a bat.
Pixie wore
a witch’s hat.
They danced beneath
a pumpkin light,
a tumble of soft
Halloween delight.
She tucked them close,
a sleepy crew.
The party ended.
Purring grew.
Pirate Pom with fluffy paws,
A tiny terror, mighty jaws.
Don’t let that powder-puff disguise
Distract you from his
“hand it over” eyes!
