Secret Destinations

 A L O H A  From

H O N O L U L U

I rise to taste the dawn,
and find that love alone
will shine today.

If you have a good idea,
use it so that you will
not only accomplish something,
but so that you can make
room for new ones
to flow into you.
   Deng Ming-Dao

Silence is
a profound melody,
for those who can hear it
above all the noise.
            Socrates

In the academy of clay,
we mold the day,
shaping our lives
in ever-shifting way.

Be gentle, my friend,
with the fire you choose,
for once it hardens,
you cannot refuse.

Stay soft to the touch,
let your spirit mend,
malleable clay
has no final end.

The kiln of time
will arrive, it’s true
remain ever-forming,
Let the light
move through you.

secret destinations of

The advice about using your ideas and letting more flow in is so true. It's literally what happens.

Hearing silence above the noise -- I like that. I tend to think of silence beneath the noise.
I also like the clay academy and the kiln of time. Wonderful poem, my friend.

I don't think there are better skies than in Hawaii. Great shots and Pixie is just too cute this morning.

I wish I could see stunning dawns in my area, but I will have to be satisfied with your photos.

I really enjoyed reading your poem and seeing your beautiful photos today. It cheers me, especially since I’m in a hospital where a lot of sick people are evidently around me. I’m not talking about my own sickness as much as the realization that so many people are in need of healing.
